What Is The Ultimate Work Of A Space Faring Civilization

Space, the last frontier.  So begins Gene Roddenberry’s paean to the improved nature of human race. To seek out new worlds and latest civilizations, to boldly go where no one has left before. It gives life to the realizations, as were quote from Carl Sagan and others, that human were not destined to be cubicle dwellers and naked mole rats scurry from one tunnel of steel to one more in tasks that are intrinsically fruitless and empty. If you ever worked in a cube farm…You know what I mean. To be acquainted with the cosmos is to know a little additional about yourself.
Before engaging in a short analysis of the ultimate goal of space people I would like to quote Carl Sagan,
This plea, I suspect, has been meticulously crafted by natural assortment as an essential element in our survival. extended summers, mild winters, rich harvests, abundant game—none of them lasts forever. It is beyond our powers to forecast the future. Catastrophic events have a way of sneaking up on us, of infectious us unaware. Your own life, or your band’s, or even your species’ might be payable to a restless few—drawn, by a longing they can hardly articulate or understand, to undiscovered lands and latest worlds.
Herman Melville, in Moby Dick, spoke for wanderer in all epochs and meridians: “I am tormented with an eternal itch for things remote. I love to sail prohibited seas…”
Maybe it’s a little early on. Maybe the time is not quite yet. But persons other worlds— promising untold opportunities—beckon us into the Cosmos.
As Mr. Sagan says, the urge of man to go to space, to travel around the final frontier, is not a random manifestation of development, but an integral division of our species’ survival.
The ultimate goal of space exploration, is neither the progression of capitalism and power to better enslave our lives on Earth. It is not to transport the worst of us to new markets to use. That kind of primitive thing have to stop here and now.
It is all about survival.
Life on Earth will not previous forever. Resources will run out and ecological degradation may render life on our planet not possible in due time. It is our responsibility as species to attempt to protect our existence.

The just road to survival, is through space. We require to turn our gaze to the stars and decide to become a space-faring civilization.

I believe the last goal for a space civilization should be to master science. Religion is arguably the majority debated topic in all of record, and mastering science would give us answers to our question about the heavens. Additionally, mastering science would make numerous tangible benefits as we could create more skill based off of the science we have learned. Technology that should fairly be used to make sure no one still goes to sleep hungry or can access medical attention whenever desirable, and to make human need and pain a thing of the past. Which is the correct of all us on the planet earth, or at least it should be when science is given a possibility to reach its full potential.

Of course this is a vision and a set of assumptions from a extremely human perspective.  But what about from a totally alien one.
Assuming there are intellects in this universe perhaps even vastly superior to our own, I think it’s impossible, even in principle, to even guess what their motives might be. How could a mouse appreciate the motives of a human, for instance? It may be that the motives of rationally superior beings are presently as impossible for us to guess at. Perhaps the majority naive guess is that they’d stare us with, at best, a sense of aloof laughter, or total indifference, if we’re so rationally inconsequential to them.

The fact that we are motionless here and not slaves for invade aliens, that we are at rest arguing the hypothesis if they exist or not. Shows in my view some credence to the higher benevolence or at least vast apathy to us which they may have.
In time this quarrel will turn from a hypothesis to a theory and then finally to a recognized information. Life abounds in the Universe lets go bring in ourselves.
